Transcription: The Aral Sea was once the world's fourth largest inland sea. However, two major rivers feeding the Aral Sea were dammed to supply water for the cotton fields of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. As a result, there was insufficient water to replenish the sea. Over the last 30 years, it has shrunk to 60% of its original size. An area the size of the whole of Belgium has changed from sea into dry land and the sea is still shrinking. One of the country's main fishing ports is now 50 kilometres from the water's edge.
